What is a bridge restoration?
A dental bridge replaces one or more missing teeth with a natural-looking false tooth, held in place by the healthy teeth on either side of the gap. Whether we are restoring an existing bridge or fitting a new one, the aim is the same: to close the gap so you can chew, speak and smile with confidence again.
02
Why replace a missing tooth?
A gap does more than change your smile. Neighbouring teeth can slowly drift into the space, your bite can shift, and chewing on one side puts extra strain on the rest of your teeth. A bridge keeps everything in place and spreads the pressure of your bite evenly.

How the treatment works
- We examine the area, take X-rays if needed and talk you through your options.
- The supporting teeth are gently prepared and we take precise impressions of your bite.
- A temporary bridge protects your teeth while your custom bridge is being made.
- We fit, adjust and bond your new bridge, checking that your bite feels completely natural.

Long-lasting results with proper care
With good daily hygiene and regular check-ups, a bridge can last for many years. We will show you how to clean under and around it, and check it at every visit to keep it in great shape.

05
Is a bridge right for you?
Bridges work best when the teeth next to the gap are healthy and strong enough to support them. If they are not, a dental implant may be the better choice. We will help you compare the options at your consultation.
